1 Fignomenal Tree and 1 Yellow Long Neck . We are one of only a few nurseries licensed to sell Fignomenal! FIGNOMENAL” is a new cold hardy patented variety of fig. The discoverer says it is a sport of Hardy Chicago. A sport is a branch that shows different characteristics then the others. Apparently this branch stayed really small but had a very large amount of figs. It also stayed very compact even after many years. The observation was then duplicated and the result is a compact grower that fruits heavily. The figs are similar to Hardy Chicago . Very sweet with a light berry flavor. I have planted a few to see how they do. I would imagine that this variety should be hardy down to zone 5. I would advise providing protection its first few years during winter. It is a common fig and does not require pollination. Keep inside if you are recording these in freezing areas. A sunny window is superb. Yellow Long Neck is a huge honey flavored fig that can get the size of a tennis ball.
